Praxis International is your dedicated recruitment partner for sourcing qualified, experienced and work-ready Filipino workers for employers across Greece. We specialise exclusively in Filipino worker recruitment, giving Greek employers direct access to one of the world's most trusted overseas workforces.

Why Choose Greece for Filipino Workers?

Greek tourism, construction and agriculture are growing faster than the domestic labour market can supply, and the biennial metaklisi quota exists precisely so employers can fill the gap legally with third-country workers.

Filipino workers in Greece are recognised for technical ability, service culture and dependable work ethic — a strong fit for hotels, sites, farms and plants that need quality output and long-term workforce stability.

Fully Managed Process

Praxis gives Greek employers direct access to this workforce through a fully managed, compliant and efficient recruitment process — from sourcing to arrival formalities.

Why Hire Filipino Workers

Built for Greek Operations

Quality, compliance and long-term workforce stability — the reasons Greek employers keep coming back.

Skilled and Experienced

Every candidate is screened for trade skills, certifications and real site, plant or hospitality experience before shortlisting.

English Proficient

Filipino workers communicate confidently in English, which shortens onboarding and reduces safety risk on mixed international teams.

Adaptable and Reliable

Recognised worldwide for discipline, service orientation and the ability to integrate quickly into new workplace cultures — a strong fit for Greek hospitality and site work alike.

Fully Compliant

Every placement is made in full compliance with Philippine DMW regulations and Greek immigration and labour law, minimising employer risk.

Quota Strategy Handled

We track the biennial metaklisi decision by region, sector and occupation so your hiring plan is built around positions that actually exist.

Scalable Supply

Whether you need 5 workers or 500, Praxis delivers on time and to your exact specifications.

High Demand

Job Opportunities in Greece

Praxis sources qualified workers from the Philippines across Greece's highest-demand sectors, matching your requirements with the right candidates for every role.

Construction & Infrastructure

Recovery Fund projects, motorway and rail upgrades, energy works and large hotel and residential development across Attica, Thessaloniki and the islands keep trade crews permanently short-handed.

  • Construction labourers and general site workers
  • Carpenters, masons and concrete specialists
  • Steel fixers, scaffolders and formwork crews
  • Electricians, plumbers and site foremen

Tourism & Hospitality

Greece's hotel, resort and restaurant sector is the country's largest declared shortage area, with thousands of seasonal and year-round vacancies reported every season.

  • Kitchen assistants, cooks and food preparation staff
  • Hotel housekeeping and cleaning staff
  • Waiters, bar and restaurant support crew
  • Front-of-house, reception and guest service staff

Agriculture & Food Processing

Farms, greenhouses and packing plants in Crete, the Peloponnese, Thessaly and Macedonia carry structural year-round and seasonal demand for reliable, trainable hands.

  • Farm, field and harvest workers
  • Greenhouse and horticulture operatives
  • Food processing, sorting and packing staff
  • Quality control operatives

Manufacturing & Industry

Metalworking, plastics, building materials, pharmaceuticals and food manufacturing plants recruit continuously across Attica, Central Macedonia and Central Greece.

  • Production line and machine operators
  • Assembly workers and metal fabricators
  • Quality assurance and inspection staff
  • Shift supervisors and team leads

Logistics & Transport

Piraeus and Thessaloniki port operations, distribution centres and cold-chain networks drive constant demand in warehousing and transport support.

  • Warehouse associates and stock handlers
  • Forklift and heavy equipment operators
  • Inventory controllers and logistics assistants
  • Professional drivers with CPC and recognised licences

Skilled Trades

Certified tradespeople for project delivery and long-term plant and hotel maintenance — among the hardest roles to fill from the local labour market.

  • Welders (MIG / MAG / TIG)
  • HVAC and refrigeration technicians
  • Plumbers and mechanical fitters
  • Industrial electricians and CNC machinists

Facility & Service Support

Hotels, hospitals, shopping centres and logistics hubs depend on consistent facility, cleaning and support teams across the whole season.

  • Facility maintenance technicians
  • Cleaning and housekeeping staff
  • Laundry and linen services staff
  • Retail and commerce support staff

Technical & Support Staff

Shipping services, technical operations and growing service centres need dependable back-office and technical support crews at scale.

  • Technical helpers and maintenance assistants
  • Machine setters and tool room staff
  • Store and materials handlers
  • Site administration and coordination support

Work Permit and Visa Process

Greece admits third-country workers who are not yet resident mainly through the metaklisi invitation procedure, inside a biennial quota fixed by Joint Ministerial Decision for each region, sector and occupation. The employer files with the competent Decentralised Administration, DYPA runs the labour market check, the worker collects a national D visa in Manila and then files for a residence permit for employment under the Immigration Code (Law 5038/2023). Praxis runs the quota strategy, the Greek authority lane, the consular step and DMW clearance as one connected process.

What happens inside the lane

Typical range: 10–20 weeks
  1. 01Job Order Approval (DMW)

Recruitment opens only after the job order is verified under Philippine DMW rules — employer documents, manpower request and the model employment contract are cleared first.

  2. 02Position Covered by the Biennial Quota (Metaklisi)

Greece admits third-country workers who are not yet resident mainly through the metaklisi invitation procedure. A Joint Ministerial Decision fixes, for each two-year period, how many positions are available by region, sector and occupation. Praxis checks that the role, region and headcount sit inside the current quota before any candidate is committed.

  3. 03Employer Application to the Decentralised Administration

The employer files the invitation application with the competent Decentralised Administration (Αποκεντρωμένη Διοίκηση) for the region where the work will be performed, attaching the draft employment contract, proof of accommodation arrangements and evidence that it can meet the wage and social-security obligations.

  4. 04Labour Market Check via DYPA

The Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ / DYPA) confirms whether a suitable jobseeker already registered in Greece or an equally-treated candidate is available for the vacancy. Only if none is available does the invitation proceed. Praxis prepares the vacancy notification and supporting pack so this step does not become the bottleneck.

  5. 05Contract Terms Under Greek Labour Law

The contract must meet Greek labour law and any applicable collective agreement — pay no lower than the statutory minimum wage and no less favourable than for domestic workers doing comparable work, with statutory hours, leave, overtime and health-and-safety obligations.

  6. 06Qualification Evidence

Proof of the education, vocational training or experience required for the role is attached, with diplomas and certificates apostilled in the Philippines and officially translated into Greek. Regulated occupations additionally require formal recognition of the qualification before work begins.

  7. 07National (D) Visa at the Greek Mission

Once the invitation is approved, the approval is transmitted to the Greek consular authority accredited for the Philippines and the worker applies for the national long-stay work visa (visa type D). Praxis coordinates the appointment and the full document set.

  8. 08DMW Processing

In parallel, Praxis completes Philippine-side requirements — contract verification, Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) and DMW clearances.

  9. 09Medical Clearance and PDOS

Candidates pass the DMW-accredited medical examination and attend the mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar covering the contract, their rights and Greek workplace expectations.

  10. 10Residence Permit Application After Arrival

Within the validity of the D visa the worker files for the residence permit for employment under the Immigration Code (Law 5038/2023). The application is submitted through the Ministry of Migration and Asylum's digital service, biometrics are taken and the electronic residence permit card is issued.

  11. 11AFM, AMKA, EFKA and ERGANI Registration

The worker obtains a tax number (ΑΦΜ), a social security number (ΑΜΚΑ) and is enrolled with EFKA, while the employer declares the hire in the ERGANI information system from the first day of work.

Typical timeline
Week 1–2

Intake, contracts and DMW job order

Week 2–6

Sourcing, document collection and interviews

Week 4–12

Metaklisi filing and DYPA labour market check

Week 10–20

Approval, national D visa and deployment

Actual timing depends on quota availability and where you sit in the biennial metaklisi cycle, the DYPA labour market check, whether the occupation is regulated and needs formal qualification recognition, apostille and certified Greek translation turnaround, and consular appointment slots for the national visa. Praxis keeps each dependency visible and re-checks the current requirements before committing to a date.
